Tully's and Mobile Technology - The Future is Now!

Currently Tully's undervalues the use of mobile technology to raise awareness and help generate revenue for their business. Here are my first 3 thoughts on how Tully's can better utilize mobile technology to drive sales and create a more "wow" oriented customer experience.

1. This one is a no brainier. Coffee ranks third as the choice for people to use their cell phones as devices to pay for things (instead of a credit card) - however, Tully's does not accept such payments. I suspect Starbucks does - it would be a simple fix and overall be a positive change for the ease of doing business in each location. Just think of being a busy mom, a segment of the market somewhat understood but over the years drawing more and more attention and power. Your going down to meet your friend and have a cup of coffee and muffin at your favorite Tully's. And "wow" I don't have to bring anything other than my phone and keys - leave that bulky purse at home - my phone is all I need at Tully's to pay for everything, such great convenience!

2. Second Item on the list for mobile - Integration of QR codes on each piece of product in the store, food and beverage (on packaging or cup). These codes link to the newly redesigned and imagined YouTube site and each to a direct piece of video showing all the great methods and locations of superb ingredients Tully's uses to create such great coffee! Video's of plantations, cool facilities, local and international ingredient vendors, anything and everything about that cup of coffee you are currently drinking all in a easily digestible short video! Besides the link to the direct video, the link pulls them into the Tully's YouTube Channel so after seeing the specific product video they will see the other available videos for other coffee flavors, food creations, etc. and be able to explore deeper into all of the great product offerings Tully's has.

3. This last one has a lot of areas to improve, and that is the Tully's App on the iphone (andriod, etc). Right now mine doesn't even work, and from what I can see all it is doing is showing me close locations. This app needs to do a lot more than that. It needs to be linked to your favorite store, store and send personal customized information to cut down on ordering time, have cool coupons or daily deals to help drives sales, and also be linked in with their other great social media mediums. The app can have a great deal of information and right now overall is being highly underutilized, this needs to change!
