Social Networking for Bangbar Restaurant and Lounge

Bangbar Restaurant and Lounge is a new restaurant in West Seattle area. To be successful in restaurant business, it is necessary to provide the great quality foods and services to the customers and let them have an unforgettable experience during their visits. Therefore, using social networking for Bangbar is not only to attract the new customers to visit and have a great experience in the restaurant through word of mouth marketing, but also to listen to real feedbacks from the customers to improve their services. These following are 3 social networking sites that I would like to recommend the owners to engage with their customers.

Facebook:

As everyone knows that there are more than 750 million active users on facebook, this is a great opportunity for Bangbar to attract potential customers and engage with their fans through facebook page. With “Check-in” and “Like” features, the awareness of the restaurant will be created among the customers’ networking. It is also easy and free-of-charge to have discussions with customers, and give them up-to-date and interesting information about recipes, events, healthy foods, and restaurant itself.

Twitter:

Twitter becomes popular recently with 175 million registered users. With this microblogging tool, Bangbar will be able to increase their main website traffic, as well as other social networking sites. Twitter will allow customers to have benefits from news and promotions by following the restaurant. It’s also easy and convenience to share this information with their friends by retweeting the messages.

Yelp:

Even though the owners cannot directly engage in the discussions in Yelp.com, I still believe that it would be great to listen to both positive and negative reviews from people who visited the restaurant. Since the restaurant is still in the startup period, it is important to share these customers’ thoughts to employees and management people in order to figure out how to improve the services and how to sustain in the business.
