Social Media and Heilyke

I've changed the company i'll be covering for my individual project, and will now be working on Heilyke, a locally owned clothing line that was founded and designed by my former undergraduate classmate from UW. The line is sold at a few boutiques in Seattle, and also draws a significant amount of business from custom orders. Heilyke has a facebook page, a website, as well as a twitter feed. Below are some suggestions that Heilyke might look at utilizing.

1) Facebook
Heilyke has a moderately well maintained facebook page with photo uploads from fashion shows and frequent status updates telling about shows and events that relate to Heilyke. I think that the facebook page could benefit from additional fashion related posts that are not strictly related to Heilyke. I feel that the Heilyke facebook page has the potential to become a frequent stop for facebook users- and should take on the role of being a style advisor/commentor and engage fans to express their opinions and feel more apart of a fashion community.

2)Twitter
Heilyke has a twitter feed that is fairly regularly updated. Tweets are mainly regarding publicity for Heilyke/places where Heilyke items have been spotted. I feel that Heilyke's twitter use could benefit from the addition of twitter follower promotions and deals on clothing, as well as daily snapshots of well dressed fashionistas that embody the heilyke aesthetic. Heilyke's twitter feed could serve as a daily dose of fashion inspiration for subscribers.

3)Blog/Online store
This is the area that I feel Heilyke could improve the most/has the most potential for innovation. Fashion blogs such as The Sartorialist have gained immense popularity in the fashion world. Having a respected and popular fashion blog could expose the Heilyke brand to a wider, fashion conscious audience. QR codes on labels could also help link the product to the blog/website, making customers brand ambassadors and easily allowing them to find the items they see on the street/ on their friends.
