The Spare Room--Mobile Media

My client is The Spare Room Vintage Flea Market. The business is run like an antique mall in the sense that we rent out areas of our stores to ‘vendors’. Each vendor has their own business license and is responsible for stocking and pricing their areas. Some mobile tools that the business could use:

Text customers with new sales and special promotions or events. For example, there is a Christmas bizarre we have every year with treats as well as an after-hours decorating party we have. This decorating party would be a great opportunity to allow customers an exclusive sneak peak of our holiday items as well as an opportunity for our vendors to get to meet our best customers.

QR codes on some of our new merchandise that would give customers ideas about possible uses for the merchandise. For example, one of our best sellers is customizable retro signs. These signs come in a wide variety but due to limited space we only carry a fraction of styles. If we had a QR code that showed all the different styles then we could have an opportunity to sell special order signs to customers. There could also be ideas about where to put the signs in their homes, see customer reviews about the product, etc.

A wish-list application to allow customers to take pictures of items that they liked at our stores. Because there are three locations and a no return policy this could help ensure that customers don’t forget where they saw an item.
