Social Marketing Websites for T. Cellars

Because T. Cellars is relatively new to the wine industry in Washington State, and because one of their main goals is to raise awareness of the T. Cellars brand, there are three particular social media websites that would be helpful for T. Cellars to utilize:

1) Facebook: While T. Cellars has already set up a Facebook page, it is not well maintained, and doesn't have an accurate description of what the winery provides. Further, the person currently managing the Facebook page doesn't really understand how social media works, so many of the posts and/or status updates don't make sense, or don't convey information. Facebook would work well for T. Cellars because it would help them network with sparkling wine enthusiasts from all over the world, and they could advertise special discounts or contests for their Facebook fans. T. Cellars also pours at many events, and Facebook would be a good tool to notify fans of upcoming events, learn where to buy tickets, etc.

2) Twitter: Twitter would be an excellent tool for T. Cellars because it would allow them to connect quickly with people who may be in the area and looking to taste, and it would allow them to connect with business partners who carry the T. Cellars brand. Moreover, T. Cellars often pours and attends events in Western Washington and Oregon, and Twitter would be a quick and easy way to alert followers that an event was taking place in their area. Since Twitter's message must be 140 characters or less, I think it would help T. Cellars distill their messages down into something that is relevant and interesting (and useful).

3) Blog: Starting a blog about Sparkling Wine in Washington would be a good idea for T. Cellars. Since Sparkling Wine is a relatively new trend, it would be a good way to get information about the creation, location, history, and other interesting tidbits related to T. Cellars. There are many wine blogs out there currently, but not too many devoted entirely to Sparkling Wine. T. Cellars could create a niche for themselves in the blogosphere if they created a blog. It would also allow T. Cellars to connect with other bloggers and wine enthusiasts.
