3 Mobile Ideas for Epicenter Gym

QR Codes on Machines and Equipment. Epicenter Gym could make use of placing QR codes on various workout machines and equipment areas so people could scan the code and see a demonstration of how to properly do the exercise, see how many calories are burned doing the exercise, see what muscle groups are being worked, etc. Showing a video of how to perform the exercise is more detailed then the tiny diagrams they currently use and utilizing a QR code would allow users to learn more about exercising and working out.

Workout app that personal trainers use to keep their clients updated. As part of utilizing a personal trainer, there could be an app where the trainer can send advice and words of encouragement to their clients, send them their workout electronically so they are prepared for that days routine, dieting tips, etc. This would create a stronger relationship between the personal trainer and the client.

Epicenter is a local gym so they could create their own mobile app. This would be somewhat different from the personal trainer app because this communication is more from the gym, rather than the personal trainer. Some features include: integrating workout classes with the user's calendar so they are up to date on when their favorite classes are happening; push notifications for events happening at the gym (discounts, sales, social events); have tips or a news page on exercising and getting in shape; localize the content and include events happening around Seattle such as races, health conventions, etc.
